Adobe and Dungeons & Dragons are providing fans with the opportunity to show off their design skills in a new Photoshop contest, Summon the Terror of Undermountain.
In order to enter for a chance to win $5,000 and a trip to Wizards of the Coast, contestants must create the most terrifying monster possible using Adobe’ Photoshop. These brands are equipping people with everything they need to participate – a free 30-day Adobe’ Photoshop trial and a “Monster Kit,” including about 100 different monster body parts that can be used in their creations. The winner of this contest will see their monster appear in the new D&D game, “Waterdeep: Dungeon of the Mad Mage,” that will be released next month. According to Adobe, this could be an opportunity for young designers to catch the attention of industry professionals and potentially start a career.
Contests are a great way to engage customers and start a conversation with them about something they actually care about, but giving fans the opportunity to play a role in the creation of the next D&D adventure is what really makes this promotion special. By forming this partnership, Adobe has found a way to authentically connect with the gamer segment.
