Australia based start up, Nubis has responded to what co-founder Yuval Herzog considers, “demand for more and more expressive ability in chats,” by launching ComiXchat.
ComiXchat allows users to select an avatar before engaging in chat and generates a brief comic book to illustrate your message.
Timed with Comic Con held in New York this week, the brand is encouraging usage of the new app by also launching a promotional social campaign to drive usage. The social media campaign rewards the first 5 persons meeting 1,000 likes on a shared frame on Comixchat Facebook page, 500 retweets on a shared frame with hashtag #comiXchat and 1,000 Karma points on a shared frame in Reddit. Winners get to provide their suggestions for the next ComiXchat avatar, naming rights for an avatar and an original sketch of the avatar with the artist’s autograph.
