The book-turned-film Gone Girl is getting fans psyched for the movie using a Pinterest board that mirrors the girl-gone-missing’s life. The film created boards based on the character of Amy Dunne, a city girl who moves to Missouri. She mysteriously disappears, and that’s where the story gets interesting. Amy’s Pinterest account covers the big changes in her life, leading up to the disappearance, “City Girl”,”Call Me Missouri” and “The Bar.” The film does an excellent job of using the Pinterest platform in a unique way that specifically ties back to the movie. And considering 51% of Pinterst users are interested in entertainment and human interest, it makes sense for an entertainment brand to crack into this popular platform.
