The Google Search app within Android 4.4 KitKat devices will provide results for deep-links within applications, called “App Indexing,” starting this November. The search engine results pages will include card snippets with an “Open in app” button, which is listed below the specific page of the main website when a searcher has the app downloaded. This allows users to choose the desired medium to view the content, either on the website or in the app, straight from the search engine results page. A big push is being made in the search engine industry to provide better answers to searchers’ queries.
