KFC’s advertising and social media feed has become increasingly more humorous and downright silly, with their latest stunt fitting both categories.

They announced via the KFC Canada Twitter feed plans to launch a limited edition Memories Bucket, a KFC fried chicken bucket that actually prints out photos shared via smartphone. It was created to celebrate their 60th anniversary in Canada and to preserve memories shared over a bucket. While it’s a funny publicity stunt and a completely unnecessary gadget, it’s spot on for the lightheartedness of the brand voice and creates demand for an innovative and fun product.
