During Sunday’s Golden Globes, LOREAL-Paris launched a unique social experience that helped fans recreate their favorite celebrity looks.
The beauty brand developed a “shoppable” social commerce center which consisted of 8 style influencers, 5 models, a 360-degree camera and dedicated social media team to post content in real-time. As the stars walked the red-carpet the LOREAL team was busy re-creating hair and makeup looks that were quickly turned into GIFs and posted to the brands Tumblr page. Each post also included the links to the LOREAL products necessary to recreate each fabulous look. Paid support on Twitter and Facebook helped boost the brand’s reach on those platforms, which conveniently cross-promoted the Tumblr content. Social users could also search the hashtag #LOrealParisLive to get updated content throughout the award show.
