With nearly 3 out of every 4 wishes requiring airline tickets to fulfill, Make-A-Wish has launched an integrated campaign built around the idea of “giving wishes wings”, encouraging donors to give frequent flyer miles to Make-A-Wish.
Make-A-Wish is hoping to receive enough airline mile donations to fill 1,000 seats – granting an equivalent of 1,000 wishes. Anyone wishing to donate can do so by logging on to the Give Wishes Wings website and choose from a number of participating airlines. Supporters are also asked to share their donation challenge videos via Twitter, Instagram and Vine using the hashtag #GiveWishesWings to help spread the word. Make-A-Wish was able to pull the participation and equity of several airline companies to really help this campaign take off.
