Neiman Marcus has unveiled The Memory Mirror, a digital mirror that takes photos and video of outfits a customer is trying on.
The mirror allows them to view their options side by side and share photos with friends. This technology is the brainchild of The Neiman Marcus Innovation Lab (iLab) and is currently only being tested at one location in San Francisco. Pending its success. however, Neiman Marcus will have the opportunity to expand beyond the west coast.
This type of shopping interaction would greatly appeal to millennials, who Neiman Marcus doesn’t exactly cater to with their exclusive, high-end stores. It will be interesting to see if the Neiman Marcus clientele is responsive to The Memory Mirror.
