Skechers is using QR codes on its print advertisements to increase consumer engagement and promote its new GOwalk products. When scanned by the user, the mobile bar code takes them to a landing page that includes video content about their GOwalk shoe line. This aspect gives the user a richer experience, going beyond a static print ad. QR codes allow the customers to share the content with others through Twitter, Facebook and email. The QR codes are a large part of increasing mobile marketing, and Skechers has used them to enhance its print campaign.
