Dove has taken a stand to encourage women to speak more positively about themselves this February through their #SpeakBeautiful campaign on Twitter.
To gain exposure of the messaging, Dove has opted to use both video and promoted posts to ensure women are active in spreading positivity for their body image. With social media now being a large component that forms women’s perception of their body image, Dove has focused on encouraging social change right from Twitter. Brands can start large conversations on social media that users pick up and own themselves, which aids in making social change happen.
